The Shamrock Court Motel in Sullivan, Missouri. It can be yours for $125,000. Lots of possibilities. Actually, now you're too late. Missouri's Roamin' Rich bought it.

Whirl-A-Whip or Whirla Whip?

After writing so much about the Whirl-A-Whip restaurant in Girard, Illinois, I went on to see if this was a chain or what kind of company it was.

There is a website for Whirla Whip at www.whirlawhip.com that does not appear to be too much up to date.  It said the company has been around in the United States for over 30 years (but I don't know when the site was written).

Under Find a Store,  they said they have been an American icon for not only its innovation nut its great tasting ice cream.

In the late 90s, most of the Whirla Whip stores closed because of rising labor costs.

Beginning with the summer of 2016, they will have a roll out of their products, evidently a lot in the Pacific Northwest.

Besides the one in Girard, I found one other one listed at Dakota Drug in Stanley, North Dakota.  It is part of their soda fountain.
