One of those great characters we have on Route 66, Ron Jones, probably better-known as "The Route 66 Tattoo Man" was hospitalized Friday morning in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, with acute kidney failure. He is at Jane Phillips Hospital.
Ron Jones is a long-time Route 66 enthusiast who has covered his body with nearly 200 tattoos with the vast majority showing places along his beloved Route 66.
The owners of Buck Atom's are asking people to send cards and cheer him up.
