Few things finer than cruising down an old road with the radio blaring and arm out the window. Here are some songs that will take you right back to a long-ago era of your life. Back 50 years ago I was a junior at the University of Georgia and living in a trailer off campus and driving my 1963 puke green Rambler station wagon around (burning roughly a quart of oil every 50 miles). I called it the "Ramblin' Wreck" because it was and then there was that nearby team in Atlanta.
BACK OFF BOOGALOO-- Ringo Starr
REELING IN THE YEARS-- Steely Dan This song always reminds me of driving the Ramblin' Wreck between Palatine and Maine West High School in Des Plaines, Illinois, while doing my student teaching from NIU.
CRAZY MAMA-- J.J. Cale
DIALOGUE-- Chicago
SAILING SHOES-- Little Feat
RUN, RUN, RUN-- Jo Jo Gunne
YOU ARE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE-- Stevie Wonder
Name That Tune (from the above songs): "Your Everlasting Summer You Can See It Fading Fast." Answer below. --RoadDog
