Along 66, August 2018: 2018 Cost-Share Grants Announced
AUGUST 30-- The 2018 cost-share grants for Route 66 sites have been announced. seven grants totaling $87,000 were given.
Since 2001, 146 have been given for a total of $2.17 million.
This year:
** Painted Desert Trading Post in Holbrook, Az $20,000
** Risk reduction study for historic Route 66 bridges. Univ. of Texas- El Paso$13,181
** Pemco Gas Station Tulsa, Ok. $13,061
** Threatt Dilling Station in Luther, Ok. $5,000
** Route 66 Gasconade Bridge at Hazelgreen, Missouti $6,000
** Ariston Cafe neon sign and window accent restoration in Litchfield, Illinois $10,250
** Route 66 Green Book sites National Register nominations $20,000
