The newest cost-share grants from the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program have been announced.
Six projects, including four historic sites will receive more than $103,000 under the auspices of the National Park service.
Among them:
** Imperial Motel sign restoration in Albuquerque $24,675. Part of the long-defunct 50s-60s Imperial 400 Motel chain.
** Shamrock Court restoration in Sullivan, Missouri: $30,000 (Our own Rich (Roamin' Rich) Dinkela.
** Road Runner's Retreat sign, Chambless, California $5,386
** Threatt Filling Station restoration in Lither, Oklahoma: $20,872
** Music and Entertainment Project on Missouri Route 66: $7,484
** Route 66 Women film.
