Ten at Ten for 1968: "Suzie-Q"

On September 1, 2016, last Thursday, Bob Stroud played ten songs from 1968 on his popular Ten at Ten show on Chicago's Drive, WDRV 97.1 FM.

A great high school year for me at Palatine High School in Palatine, Illinois.

RIDE MY SEE-SAW--  Moody Blue
BLACKBIRD--  Beatles
HOOKED ON A FEELING--  B.J. Thomas   Like this one, but really love the later version by Blue Suede with that "Ooga-Chaka."

SPOOKY--  Classics IV   This past Monday I learned that local performer Jim Sieg was a member of that band way back when they started.
MIDNIGHT CONFESSIONS--  Grass Roots
MRS. ROBINSON--  Simon & Garfunkel
SUZIE-Q--  CCR

ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER--  Jimi Hendrix
MAGIC CARPET RIDE--  Steppenwolf   This song was REALLY played a lot on the jukebox at the Senior Lounge at Palatine High School.
RAMBLIN' GAMBLIN' MAN--   Bob Seger System

Name That Tune from the above songs:  "Jesus Loves You More Than You Know."  --RoadDog

"Mrs. Robinson"
