Continuing with New Odyssey's set list for the day. Remember, Three Guys, Thirty Instruments.
And, I should add, some skits like the two I'll be mentioning here.
PROUD MARY-- Ike and Tina Turner version. Good old Gary Todd came out dressed in drag as Tina Turner, complete with giant-sized pumps for those big feet, and Tina couldn't have done better. Something ya gotta see to believe. Who says Gary can't shake it?
COUNTRY SONG/SYMPHONEY-- Eric Copeland. A Real Hoe-Down.
IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA-- Iron Butterfly. This song starts out with that Halloween Fugue song and the morphs into In-A-Gadda. Then, the three members do their Blue Man Group on three drums on a stand, taking turns on drums and interacting.
This alone is worth the price of admission. Wait! There was no admission charge to Parish Fest.
