The Corvair Museum in Glenarm, Illinois, will be closing next month and is seeking a new location on Route 66.
Curator Mike Hall also president of the Corvair Preservation Foundation announced this message.
The building they are in has been sold and they've lost their lease. The museum moved from Decatur to Glenarm in 2019. But COVID has messed things up and the museum is open only by appointment now
The Chevrolet Corvair was a compact model made from 1960 to 1969
The current museum is located at 10041 Palm Road in Glenarm. They are looking for a place on Route 66.
Maybe they should check out McLean, Illinois, which has been doing a lot with renewal.
