US-14 (Northwest Highway) Wins Showdown
This past Saturday, the last remaining US-12 (Rand Road) team in the IHSA football playoffs lost and the last remaining US-14 team, Cary-Grove won.
This gives US-14 (Northwest Highway) the Showdown Championship. Back 5 weeks ago US-12 started with five teams in the playoffs. US-14 had nine teams.
Since the first US-14-US-12 Showdown in 2013, US-14 leads 4-1-1.
The next game will be Saturday in Champaign, Illinois, at the University of Illinois.
